The cause of all the cur-rent problems related to religion is the fact that we have forgotten this message. We may declare that the world has shrunk to the size of a village thanks to globalization and modern scientific innovations such as the Internet and satellite TV, but, at the same time, the distance between people’s minds is steadily increasing. The concept that India has given to the world – Vasudhaiva kutumbakam, “The whole world is my family” – is based on the fundamental oneness and actual mental unity of us all.
